ReplyDeleteI wanted to comment on the newer posting but it won't let me, so I will put my thoughts in this one.
I am completely with you on the so much to do and no time to do it in. I really enjoyed our coffee chat we had Thursday afternoon and it's nice to know that you are feeling some of the same fears that I am... mostly about what we will be missing at home while being away.
Don't worry too much about the Spanish. I know some conversational Spanish and it will come to you...it has to. I don't say that to freak you out, just that it will because there is no way around it. The best thing to do is start with basic vocab and go from there. The one thing I learned of vital importance from my last exchange trip is never say yes if you don't understand. EVER EVER EVER. Yo no comprendo! I don't understand. Yo no se- I don't know.
I leave to go home one month today and there is so much left to do my head is spinning, but I am glad that you are there with me.
